Congo - ReformulationThis is from a place of absolute zeroCongo - Reformulation
So cold that it stops your blood flow
The sun never shines for the Congo
Like a starved nation of many invasions
Where fire burns like scars of sorrow
Forever lasting won't heal tomorrow
Famine incarnate sitting side by side
With bloody machetes of Rwandan genocide
And Ugandan children abducted and trained
Marching forward like an army of slaves
Like shadows, no purpose and aimless
A swarm of weary identical faces
Worst conflict since the Second World War
And the aftermath is still raising the bar
Five millio

A single jog.I stood at the intersection between Cowley Road and Marsh Road, this is where Cowley began. It was a cool August sunset with a gentle breeze. As always the yellow streetlights transformed the place as everything was layered with its dim glow, yes, a light that did not reveal but instead transformed and twisted, playing with your mind, a perfect incarnation of what humanity has become. "Should I begin?" I thought, and then I did. I took a first step into a gentle jog then one after the other. My leg muscles already burned slightly as I regulated my breathing but eventually I found a good pace. The beginnings of Cowley were fairly empty iA single jog.

Cast LeadI remember the time when operation Cast Lead on the Gaza strip in Palestine began. It was on the 27th of December 2008, a Saturday. I had just finished stall duty for the Palestine Solidarity Campaign in Oxford so the time must have been around 1:45 pm. I bumped into a friend of mine, well more of an acquaintance, a certain Dr Ramsay, Iranian with a lot of energy and a catchy accent.Cast Lead
"Didn't you hear? Around 50 people were killed!"
He said with wide eyes.
That was only the beginning.
Before I knew it, it was all over the news, especially good old Al Jazeera which had constant breaking news reports

BornLet me tell you a story with my lyricsBorn
Using metaphors and a newborn spirit
Born again out of old remains
Trapped in history and memories' pains
It's of a friend I thought I knew
Like the back of my hand bones and sinew
But just as our bodies grow and change
Our minds transform in a day or age
It began when he saw a shining light
Just before he was giving up the fight
At this time he wanted a purpose in life
To have a goal reaching for great heights
He reached out to try and get a hold
He didn't foresee the forth coming cold
The light scorched hi

Fall of Hip-HopWhen I first heard rap, I found that it was cool Heard 50 and Ja, made myself a fool I thought what I was listening to was hip-hop But I realized it was all fake, commercialized pop Fake gangstas sporting grills and large gold chains Bragging about women and cars, and calling out names Watered down records that are passed off as artwork Lacking creativity, devotion and hard work Why should we have to care about rims and grills Or about how you own many hundred dollar bills They call themselves hip-hop, but found out they're fakers Pop icons all serving corporate money makers &nFall of Hip-Hop

AimAim Here's something to explain to you my aim, These politicians have gone too far we've become tame, Most people tell me to chill and that easy does it, But I'm fed up, I'm through, I'm done with this shit,Aim
Society teaches everybody to judge each other, That we cannot live without the blessing of another, Most kids are brought up in conditions tougher than ever, Yet we're still expected to flourish like a magnificent flower, I was a blank canvas painted on by society, Details added by the thousands that came before me, I saw the never ending aqueduct flowing with lies,
